Circle of Care Leeza's Place
Circle of Care Leeza's Place s the result of a partnership with the Circle of Care Foundation and the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation. It is where caregivers, and their loved ones diagnosed with a memory disorder or other chronic illness, can attend free programs that provide education, empowerment, and energy in a safe and intimate setting.
Collaborations with the LA Unified Adult School, the USC School of Social Work, the CSUN Service Learning Program and the College of Health and Human Development, have provided Circle of Care Leeza's Place with teachers, interns, and volunteers.
Dynamic programming includes Memory Fitness, Wellness, Chair Exercises, Tai Chi, Caregiver Grief, Ask the Dr. Series, Relaxation and Meditation, Brighten Up Thru Humor, Scrapbooking, Memory Screenings, Caregiver and Parkinson's Support groups, as well as topical workshops on medical, home care, legal, financial and other caregiver issues.
